QUETTA, Nov 20 (APP): Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Thursday said that the incumbent government was committed to ensure the construction and development of remote and backward areas of the province for facilitating people in the areas.
He expressed these views while talking to various delegations led by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Culture Zareen Magsi and Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Haji Barkat Rind, Malik Syed Mir Kharoti, head of the Kharoti tribe from Quetta, and Salim Khan Mandokhel of the Muslim League-Nawaz from Zhob district,at the Governor House.
The Governor said that with limited resources and multiple challenges, the current government was facing a major challenge in balancing limited resources with numerous issues in the province.
He said that in this regard, there was an urgent need to strengthen all its departments and take concrete steps to benefit the poor people from the fruits of ongoing development projects in the province.
Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel stressed that the importance of transparency, responsibility and accountability in governance as well as the need for public participation in policy making.
He said that the people of Quetta city and its suburbs were also facing several basic problems, for which all resources need would be mobilized for sustainable solutions.
Governor Mandokhel assured both delegations of his full support for a lasting solution to the problems being faced by them in their areas.
