QUETTA, Oct 17 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar on Friday said that the government is committed to completing public welfare projects on a transparent and fair basis.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting regarding tender process of development projects and transparently. According to the details, the tender process of various development projects across the district was completed in a clean and transparent manner under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nasirabad Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar.
DC said that all necessary steps were taken to ensure transparency, merit and quality work in this tender process. Colonel Rizwan Tayyab specially participated on this occasion, while officers of the B&R (Buildings and Roads) Department, representatives of the district administration and several contractors belonging to Nasirabad division were also present.
The DC said that projects like construction of farm-to-market roads, strengthening of public infrastructure, rehabilitation of schools and medical centers would play an important role in the development of the area.
He clarified that all tenders would be awarded on merit and no contractor or firm to be given benefits on the basis of recommendation or affiliation. Only those contractors could be successful who guarantee minimum rates, better quality and timely completion. He directed all the contractors to complete the projects within the stipulated time frame with high standards so that the people could benefit from the fruits of these projects as soon as possible.
The DC directed the B&R officers to make the monitoring of the projects more effective and submit progress reports regularly so that there is no delay or negligence at any level.
