Govt actively working to reform healthcare system in Balochistan: Dr. Rubaba

QUETTA, Apr 06 (APP): Adviser to Balochistan Chief Minister for Women’s Development Department, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi on Monday mentioned that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Government of Balochistan is actively working to reform the healthcare system, revolutionary programs like the Sehat Card and the Endowment Fund provide free medical treatment to the public.
She emphasized that health is a magnificent blessing from Allah, the value of which is often only realized once it is lost.
In a special message released in observance of World Health Day, she remarked that this day is not merely a formality but a vital reminder to prioritize self-care amidst our busy lives.
She urged citizens never to compromise on nutrition, sleep, or mental peace, noting that physical well-being is the foundation for enjoying all the joys of the universe.
Reflecting on global health realities, Dr. Rubaba khan Buledi pointed out that a significant portion of the world’s population remains deprived of basic medical facilities.
Citing data from the World Health Organization (WHO), she highlighted that millions lack access to treatment due to poverty and resource scarcity.
She noted that infectious diseases and lifestyle-related ailments continue to negatively impact the global economy and human development.
Consequently, the primary objective of World Health Day is to urge nations to ensure the provision of equitable healthcare services for all citizens.
Addressing the specific context of Balochistan, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi identified the province’s vast geography and the shortage of medical centers in remote areas as significant challenges, particularly affecting women’s health.
She stressed the urgent need to address maternal mortality rates and neonatal health issues. Furthermore, she highlighted that issues such as anemia and malnutrition among Balochistan’s women significantly hinder their overall productivity, making awareness and timely medical intervention essential.
Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi mentioned that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Government of Balochistan is actively working to reform the healthcare system, revolutionary programs like the Sehat Card and the Endowment Fund provide free medical treatment to the public.
She also shared that the government is prioritizing the upgradation of hospitals specifically for women. The deployment of Mobile Health Units in far-flung regions and collaborative awareness campaigns between the Women’s Development Department and healthcare sectors to empower women to take charge of their health. Through these efforts, the provincial government aims to enable women to play an active and healthy role in the formation of a prosperous society.
