LAHORE, Jan 06 (APP):Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Tuesday visited the residence of late MPA Irfan Shafi Khokhar and condoled with the family of the late MPA.
Provincial Minister for Sports Faisal Ayub Khokhar and PML-N Lahore President Saiful Malook Khokhar, were also present on the occasion. Governor Punjab offered Fateha for the departed soul.
He said that the void left by the sudden demise of Irfan Shafi Khokhar is difficult to be filled. He said that late Irfan Shafi Khokhar has always upheld the politics of principles. He said that the services of the deceased for the stability of the country and the continuity of democracy are commendable.
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan further said that it is the tradition of the PPP to rise above the party and participate in each other’s joy and sorrow. He said that he has always pursued principled and positive politics. The Punjab Governor said that the PPP and the PML-N are two different parties and both have separate manifestos. He said that the PPP and the PML-N are coalition partners, and are on the same page on the development and prosperity of Punjab.
The Punjab Governor said he is standing with the Punjab government for the development, prosperity and betterment of the province. He said that there are political differences in politics, but there should not be vindictive and personal. The Punjab Governor said that the politics of sabotage and chaos is the nature of only one party.
He said that the PPP has regained its place in Punjab politics and people’s trust in the party has not only been restored but has also been strengthened.
