Governor visits DI Khan to pay tribute to martyrs

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 10 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday visited Dera Ismail Khan where he offered condolences to the families of martyrs and paid rich tribute to their sacrifices for the country.
The Governor visited the residence of Shaheed Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Imran Diyal, where he met the martyr’s father and other family members.
He offered Fateha and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks, besides expressing heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.
Later, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also visited the residence of Shaheed Abbas Mehdi, who embraced martyrdom in the Islamabad Tarliai Imambargah blast.
He met the martyr’s family members and Shia elders, offered Fateha and prayed for the departed soul.
Expressing deep grief over the tragic incident, the Governor said that the entire nation was saddened by the loss of precious lives in the Islamabad blast. He termed Dera Ismail Khan as a land of martyrs and said the sacrifices of martyrs would always be remembered with honour.
Strongly condemning terrorism, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that those who spill the blood of innocent people are enemies of humanity, Islam and the country, adding that such heinous acts would never weaken the nation’s resolve against extremism.
