Governor urges to promote culture of modern research

QUETTA, Oct 24 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel urged Vice Chancellor of BUM&HS Prof. Dr. Shabbir Ahmed Lehri and his team to strike a balance between teaching medical courses and promoting a culture of modern research.
By prioritizing both aspects, the university can increase its overall ranking.
He expressed these views while speaking at a briefing on the performance of Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUM&HS) at the Governor House, Quetta on Friday.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shabbir Ahmed Lehri briefed the Governor regarding the University.
Principal Secretary to Governor Balochistan, Kaleemullah Babar, was also present during the briefing.
The Governor said that while planning for the future at the university level, the expected requirements of the future should be aligned with the current needs.
He said that this proactive strategy enables institutions to be adaptable and responsive to changing demands adding that Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences has embarked on a journey of exciting growth, which has the potential to make a lasting impact.
Jaffar Khan added that this medical university would emerge as a major force in the national educational landscape in the coming years, advancing knowledge and nurturing talented professionals in medical and health sciences.
The Governor said that some time ago, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences had conducted entrance tests from thousands of candidates in twelve different disciplines including nursing, medical laboratory, dental and surgery.
Today, those selected candidates are studying. It is a fact that the need for skilled people to conduct professional medical courses is greater outside the country and the province, he mentioned.
