Governor urges philanthropists to support people in province

QUETTA, Nov 26 (APP): Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Wednesday said that Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Wednesday urged all the philanthropists of the province to play a full role in supporting the people of their province.
He expressed these views during his visit to the Kidney Hospital located on Samnguli Road and later to Dar-e-Shifa Imam Khomeini located in Hazara Town.
On this occasion, Iranian Consul General in Quetta Mohammad Karimi Todashki and Chief Executive Officer of BINUC Dr. Liaquat Agha along with a large number of doctors and paramedical staff were present.
Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel was briefed about the performance and latest situation of the Kidney Hospital during his visit.
Addressing the participants of the program, the Governor said that patients from all districts of the province visit Quetta for their treatment, which is also a heavy burden on all government hospitals in Quetta city.
He said that unfortunately, despite the passage of fifty years, we have not been able to build any big modern hospital in Quetta city, even today, a large number of patients are forced to visit to Karachi for treatment, which puts the lives of the patients at risk and some patients even die on the way.
He said that therefore, it is necessary that the government takes immediate action to resolve this unresolved issue and ensure that people have access to quality medical treatment facilities in their own province.
Addressing the participants of the program, Governor Mandokhel said that the purpose of my visit is to inspect the resources required for quality care of patients suffering from kidney disease in the province.
I am relieved to be here that kidney patients are getting the best treatment in the province, for which the tireless efforts of Dr. Liaquat Agha and his entire team deserve tribute, he said.
He said that today, with the cooperation of the Iranian Consul General, the provision of four dialysis machines would help in enhancing the overall quality of the Kidney Hospital.
The Governor said that it is also a matter of pride that these dialysis machines are made in Iran, it was a pleasure to see Balochistan province’s own female surgeons and physicians.
Earlier, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel inspected different parts of the hospital.
Later, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel visited Dar-ul Shifa Imam Khomeini Hazara Town located on the outskirts of Quetta and inspected its various parts.
