QUETTA, Jul 18 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandukhail on Thursday thanked Prime Minister (PM) Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for starting direct Umrah flights from Quetta Airport to Jeddah to facilitate people of the province.
He expressed these views in his video message saying that the federal government under the leadership of the prime minister and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) authorities to run special Umrah flights from Quetta to Jeddah was a people-friendly initiative.
Under this initiative, the PIA is starting direct flights from Quetta to Jeddah for Umrah from August 6, 2024, he said adding that with this good initiative, the people of the entire Balochistan would get rid of the compulsion to go to Islamabad, Karachi or Lahore etc, before going to Saudi Arabia, he said.
He said that the people of Balochistan would avoid the hassle of going to Islamabad, Karachi or Lahore in the future and now their precious time, energy and money could not be wasted due to the positive efforts of the prime minister.
The governor said that the insightful approach and decisive action of the Prime Minister of Pakistan has turned a long-standing problem of the people of the province into a wonderful success story.
He said that the PM made tireless efforts to address this critical public issue have brought travel convenience, relief and new hope to many citizens saying that the people of the province would always be grateful to the PM for this people-friendly initiative. He said that the PM’s steadfast determination, bold decision and spirit of cooperation have made remarkable progress.
The governor said that the PM was taking a special interest in the development of Balochistan to provide basic facilities to the people of the province.
