Governor termed enriched Pakistani culture as true identity

ATTOCK, Nov 4 (APP):Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, has said that our culture is our identity, and Neza Bazi (tent pegging) is a heritage from our ancestors and an integral part of Punjab’s traditions.
According to APP correspondent, Sardar Saleem said that such traditional sports are not only a source of entertainment but also serve as an excellent means to connect the younger generation with their cultural roots and traditions.
He expressed these views while attending a grand Neza Bazi event held in the village of Madrota, near Attock, as the chief guest. A large number of people, local dignitaries, elected representatives, and sports personalities were present on the occasion.
Prominent and skilled Neza Baz (tent pegging players) from across the province and the Attock district showcased their talents during the event. The Governor distributed trophies and prizes among the winning teams and outstanding performers.
He further stated that the Punjab government is taking various initiatives to promote local culture, sports, and rural traditions so that the youth remain connected to their roots. He appreciated the Attock district administration for organizing such a wonderful event, adding that such activities play an important role in promoting social harmony and positive engagement.
In conclusion, he thanked the organizers and participants and expressed his commitment that the provincial government will continue to extend full support for the promotion of cultural activities across the province.
