KARACHI, Jun 26 (APP): On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has reaffirmed the collective national resolve for a drug-free Pakistan, calling for unity and cooperation in eliminating drug use from society.
In a message issued on Thursday, the Governor stressed that protecting the youth from falling prey to drug addiction is a shared responsibility. “Drug abuse is a destructive force that erodes the foundation of society,” he stated, emphasizing the urgent need for stricter measures to prevent the spread of drugs, particularly within educational institutions.
He noted that the fight against drug trafficking and consumption requires both governmental and public cooperation. “Drug dealers are enemies of humanity,” he asserted, urging for robust and united action to eradicate this menace.
Highlighting the importance of channeling youth energy positively, the Governor underscored the need to engage young people in constructive and healthy activities as a long-term solution to prevent drug use.
“The war against drugs is essential for building a healthier and more productive society,” he concluded, calling on citizens and institutions alike to play their part in this national cause.
