LAHORE, Feb 12 (APP):Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that he will take up demands of the protesting students with President Asif Ali Zardari.
Talking to the protesting students, who were invited by him, at the Governor’s House here on Wednesday, the governor listened to their concerns and expressed the hope their voices are heard by the quarters concerned.
The students were protesting against the holding of civil superior services (CSS) examination 2025 prior to the declaration of CSS 2024 results by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan assured the students that he will personally convey their concerns to President Asif Ali Zardari, ensuring their voices are heard.
He expressed his commitment to preventing any exploitation or mistreatment of the students.
The Governor said, “The students are our real asset and the future of Pakistan,” adding, the young generation should play a positive role in transforming the country to meet modern requirements.
He said students should not become part of anyone’s anti-national agenda.
He said that he is personally working for the improvement and development of higher educational institutions. The Governor further said that no nation can progress without a strong economic and academic foundation.
The students said it is for the first time in the history of the FPSC that a new CSS exam was announced before the results of the 2024 written exam. They said that the future of thousands of students is at stake with this move of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).
