PESHAWAR, Dec 29 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday paid rich tribute to the security forces for carrying out a successful operation against Indian-backed terrorists in the Khar area of merged district Bajaur, in which five terrorists were killed.
The Governor lauded the professional skills, bravery and commitment of the security forces for effectively confronting and eliminating the terrorists.
He said such successful operations are a clear reflection of the armed forces’ unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also paid glowing tribute to Major Adeel Zaman, who embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire with the terrorists. He expressed heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy with the bereaved family of the martyred officer, praying for patience and strength for them in this hour of grief.
The Governor said that Major Adeel Zaman, who belonged to Dera Ismail Khan, was a brave son of the soil whose sacrifice would always be remembered with pride.
“The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the entire nation are indebted to Major Adeel Zaman and all our martyrs for their supreme sacrifices,” he added.
He further said that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and that terrorists would be eliminated completely.
The Governor emphasized that the entire nation stands united with its brave armed forces in the war against terrorism and will continue to support them till lasting peace is achieved.
