QUETTA, Nov 11 (APP): Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Tuesday said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal invited Muslims to re-evaluate their faith and identity through his poetry, by giving them a sense of freedom, the caravan of freedom of the subcontinent was taken towards its destination.
He said this while addressing the participants of the Allama Iqbal Conference held at Tameer-e-Nau-Boys College.
A large number of teachers and students, including Chairman Tameer-e-Nau-Boys Trust Naseem Lehri, Provincial Secretary Hafiz Tahir and Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, were present on this occasion.
The Governor said that it is better to elevate yourself and make your own identity than to follow others, there is no need to be disappointed by difficult situations.
He said that the Tameer-e-Nau-Boys Trust deserved tribute for the successful organization of the Allama Iqbal Conference, today’s academic and intellectual session would have very positive effects.
Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal brought about a revolution in the sphere of thought of the people of the entire Indian subcontinent and especially gave them the courage to change their traditional ways by reconstructing the religious thought of Muslims.
He said that Allama conditioned that “create your own world if you are alive” Allama Muhammad Iqbal invited Muslims to re-evaluate their faith and identity through his poetry, by giving them a sense of freedom, the caravan of freedom of the subcontinent was taken towards its destination.
Governor Mandokhel said that no national and political movement could be successful without intellectual guidance. Only through the combination of intellectual guidance and practical struggle could the set goals be achieved.
He said that this occasion reminds us of the ideas that Allama Muhammad Iqbal propagated through his poetry and religious thoughts.
Throughout his life, he taught the teachings of the exaltation of Islam, the betterment of Muslims and the achievement of lasting development. He always worked with great passion for the unity, solidarity of the Muslim Ummah and the restoration of their greatness, he said.
Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that victory and defeat are part of the debt, but there is always room for improvement.
He also urged the youth to not only understand the true message of the poet of the East Allama Iqbal but also act on it.
Mandokhel congratulated all the speakers and appreciated the efforts of the organizers for keeping the youth engaged in academic and intellectual discussions.
Finally, Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel distributed commemorative shields and certificates among the organizers and speakers.
