QUETTA, Dec 13 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has underscored the pivotal role of women’s education and economic independence in driving the province’s progress.
Addressing the 2nd Convocation of Government Girls Post Graduate College Quetta Cantt as chief guest, he hailed women as the guarantors of a bright future.
The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor University of Balochistan, Dr. Zahoor Bazai, Principal Professor Sadia Farooqi, Additional Secretary Education Abdul Malik Achakzai, along with parents and students.
During the event, degrees were awarded to 245 graduates, while 14 students received Gold Medals and another 14 were awarded Badges of Honor for their outstanding academic performance.
Governor Mandokhail praised the graduates as symbols of pride for an institution dedicated to empowering women.
“Investment in education is the key to the development and prosperity of society. An educated mother is a guarantee for an educated and well-trained family,” he remarked.
To support the institution, the Governor announced two new buses for students and one coaster for teaching staff, a cash prize of Rs. 200,000 for the college band group.
He invited sll graduating students for a formal high-tea at the Governor House Quetta.
Governor Mandokhail emphasized that the success of developed nations lies in quality education. He urged graduates to treat their knowledge and skills as a national duty, contributing to the betterment of society. He also highlighted the importance of character building, stressing that education must instill values and progressive thinking alongside academic achievement.
The Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail paid tribute to the faculty and Principal Professor Sadia Farooqi for their dedication to providing quality education to thousands of girls in the region.
