DERA ISMAIL KHAN , May 31 (APP): Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining its registration certificate from the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) on Saturday. This achievement has been made possible due to the dedicated efforts of the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi.

The registration certificate was officially handed over to Governor Kundi by NAVTTC Chairperson Gulmina Bilal. On receiving the certificate, the Governor expressed his gratitude to the Chairperson and appreciated the Commission’s cooperation. He also stated that this registration would pave the way for better vocational and technical education opportunities for the youth of the region.

The process of obtaining NAVTTC registration was initiated during the tenure of former Vice Chancellor Dr. Shakeebullah Khan.
The initiative to apply for NAVTTC registration was taken under the Governor’s special interest and guidance, aiming to enhance the university’s capacity to offer recognized technical training programs.

In addition, Muhammad Fazal-ur-Rehman—former Publicity Officer of Gomal University and current Regional Incharge of the Press Information Department—played a key role in supporting the university’s efforts to secure the certificate. His consistent coordination and follow-up contributed to the successful outcome.

This registration is expected to benefit not only the students of Gomal University but also the broader community by providing certified vocational training programs that align with national standards. It marks a new chapter in the university’s development and commitment to equipping students with practical skills for the future.

The registration by NAVTTC is also expected to enhance the university’s capacity to deliver certified vocational training programs and contribute meaningfully to workforce development in the region. It reflects a broader commitment to educational advancement and skills-based learning in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
