PESHAWAR, Nov 25 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters here on Tuesday where he was received by FC Commandant, Riaz Nazir Gara.
The Governor laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered prayers for the martyred personnel.
During the visit, he was briefed on the previous day’s attack. Governor Kundi praised the FC personnel and their leadership for swiftly thwarting the assault by fitna-e-khawarij, saying the force had demonstrated exceptional courage and professionalism.
He said that three FC personnel embraced martyrdom while saving the lives of their comrades, adding that he had come to pay tribute to the martyrs and express appreciation on behalf of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Governor highlighted that the sacrifices of over 450 FC personnel for the restoration of peace in the province would never be forgotten. He also appreciated the federal government’s decision to award top honours to FC personnel, calling it a valuable recognition of their bravery and sacrifice.
