PESHAWAR, Oct 27 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, observed annually on October 27.
In his message, Governor Kundi said that on October 27, 1947, Indian forces illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in blatant violation of United Nations resolutions and international law.
“Today marks a day of protest against this illegal occupation and a reaffirmation of solidarity with the people of Kashmir,” he said.
The Governor said that for more than seven decades, the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have endured severe repression, including blockades, extrajudicial killings, and gross human rights violations by Indian forces.
“Despite all this, their courage and determination remain unshaken,” he added.
Governor Kundi urged the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organizations to take notice of the ongoing atrocities in occupied Kashmir and to play an effective role in ensuring the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination as promised in UN resolutions.
He reiterated that the government and people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people and will continue to support their just struggle through all possible means.
“India cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom through oppression and force,” he said, adding that Pakistan firmly believes that tyranny cannot prevail forever.
“The sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will one day bear fruit, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir will achieve their long-cherished freedom from Indian occupation.”
