PESHAWAR, Dec 30 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the province offers immense opportunities for investment due to its abundant natural resources, talented youth, and strategic geographical location. He said that Peshawar serves as a gateway to Central Asia and that providing a conducive environment for business and investment promotion in the province is his top priority.
The Governor was speaking as the chief guest at the second Global Awards Ceremony organized by the Pakistani Executive Forum (PEF) at the Governor’s House, Peshawar, on Tuesday.
He invited local and overseas business leaders to explore and benefit from investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and contribute to the province’s economic development.
The ceremony was attended by PEF Central Chairman Munir Ahmed Shah, Country President Nauman Wasim, Head of Saudi Chapter Kamran Ali Qureshi, Head of Qatar Chapter Kashif Rahim, Head of Peshawar Chapter Adnan Jalil, Head of Lahore Chapter Rana Tauqeer, Head of Sialkot Chapter Tariq, Head of Gujranwala Chapter Umar Farooq, Head of Islamabad Chapter Gul Zeba, Head of Karachi Chapter Saad Hamidi, representatives from SMEDA including Rashid Awan, KP EZDMAC’s Nabila Afridi, former IGP Akhtar Ali Shah, and a large number of business personalities from across the country and overseas Pakistanis.
Participants highlighted investment opportunities in various sectors and shared their suggestions. They also thanked the Governor for hosting the event at the Governor’s House.
Governor Kundi distributed awards among business leaders in recognition of their outstanding performance. A special award was presented to the PEF Country President, while the Pakistani Executive Forum also presented a commemorative shield to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
While addressing the gathering, the Governor congratulated PEF office-bearers and award recipients, saying that organizations like PEF play a vital role in economic stability, promotion of business leadership, and projecting a positive image of Pakistan. He added that such platforms also serve as an effective source of guidance and motivation for the younger generation.
Expressing optimism, Governor Kundi said that through collective efforts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would reach new heights in trade and business and soon emerge as a prominent hub for investment in the country.
He welcomed the proposals presented during the ceremony and assured the business community of full support from the Governor’s House for investment promotion, industrialization, SME development, and youth empowerment.
“The doors of the Governor’s House remain open at all times for domestic and foreign investors,” he affirmed.
