DARGAI, Jan 23 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday formally inaugurated a new office of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Dargai to facilitate local residents with essential registration services.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by NADRA Provincial Director General Khalid Inayatullah, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, senior party leader Malik Azmat Khan, along with other government officials and party office-bearers.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Kundi said that the establishment of a NADRA office in Dargai would provide residents easy access to services including Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), child registration certificates, B-Forms, Family Registration Certificates (FRCs) and other important documents.
He said that people would no longer need to travel to distant cities, resulting in savings of both time and expenses.
The Governor termed the new office the fulfillment of a long-standing demand of the local population and emphasized that NADRA plays a vital role in citizen identification and access to state services. He said the government is committed to providing transparent and quality public services at people’s doorsteps.
He added that the new NADRA office has been equipped with modern machinery, a biometric system and trained staff to ensure fast and efficient service delivery.
The Governor also expressed gratitude to Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and senior NADRA officials for their cooperation in establishing the facility.
Governor Kundi directed NADRA officials to ensure special facilities for senior citizens, women and persons with disabilities, and to resolve public issues on a priority basis.
Later, the Governor visited various sections of the NADRA office and expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided to the public.
