Governor Kundi calls for collective efforts to end terrorism

PESHAWAR, Sep 03 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday said that restoring peace in the province requires joint efforts of scholars, educated circles and security forces, emphasizing that terrorism and extremism must be eliminated through unity and adherence to the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He expressed these views while addressing the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference held at Governor House in connection with the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The Governor attended the conference as the chief guest, which was also graced by prominent scholars and religious leaders from across the country.
The Governor said it was a matter of honor to host such a sacred conference, saying that the Seerat of the Prophet (PBUH) is a beacon of light for all humanity.
“The teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are a guarantee of success in this world and the Hereafter,” he remarked, adding that just as the nation had stood united against Indian aggression, peace would soon be restored in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Earlier, religious scholars highlighted the Prophet’s (PBUH) life and urged the youth to study his Seerat regularly and embody his guidance in every sphere of life. They congratulated the Governor for arranging the conference and thanked him for the invitation.
Prominent scholars and religious leaders from across the country participated in the conference, including members of the Council of Islamic Ideology Maulana Intikhab Ahmad Noori and Mufti Muhammad Zubair, son of Shaheed Maulana Hamidul Haq, Maulana Abdul Haq Thani, Maulana Hisham Elahi, Pir Habibullah Naqshbandi from Jhang, Mufti Nauman Naeem of Jamia Binoria Karachi, Mufti Zubair Ashraf Usmani, Maulana Azizur Rehman Rahimi, Maulana Abdul Zahir Farooqi, Maulana Abdullah Naqshbandi, Maulana Abu Bakar Shah, Pir Syed Chiraghuddin Shah, Hafiz Muhammad Amjad, Qari Muhammad Ibrahim Qasmi, Usama Syed Ajmal Qasmi and Mufti Shahbaz Alam Farooqi.
They said the Prophet (PBUH) was sent as a mercy for the entire universe, and believers must celebrate his birth by emulating his teachings. They stressed that the youth should make the study of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) a regular part of their lives and play an active role in national progress by following his guidance in every sphere of life, including society, economy, and trade.
The event concluded with a special prayer by Pir Amin Qadri for peace, prosperity and stability of the country.
