LAHORE, Dec 19 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited the Sundas Foundation in Lahore on Friday, where he met children undergoing treatment for blood-related diseases, inquired about their well-being, and distributed gifts to boost their morale.
Upon his arrival, the Governor was warmly received by Patron of Sundas Foundation, Sohail Warraich, Founder and President Muhammad Yasin Khan, Director Khalid Abbas Dar, and members of the foundation’s management.
During the visit, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi interacted with children suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, and other blood disorders. He appreciated their courage and reviewed in detail the medical facilities being provided for their treatment.
Medical Director of Sundas Foundation, Dr Adnan Gilani, briefed the Governor about the foundation’s healthcare services, modern treatment methods, advanced medical equipment, and effective blood management system.
Dr Gilani informed that Sundas Foundation operates 12 centers across the country, providing free blood and treatment to thousands of patients every month, while ensuring international standards in healthcare services.
He added that the foundation is also working on genetic screening and research-based programs to enable early diagnosis and prevention of hereditary blood diseases. He further shared that over 12,000 thalassemia and hemophilia patients are currently registered with the foundation and are receiving regular treatment.
Talking to the media, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi termed the welfare and medical services of Sundas Foundation as highly commendable.
He said it was heartening to see the dedication, compassion, and professionalism with which the staff was serving patients.
He said that the modern treatment procedures, efficient blood management system, and quality healthcare services being provided at the foundation meet international standards and serve as a ray of hope for underprivileged segments of society.
The Governor reiterated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has always encouraged welfare organizations working for humanitarian causes and social uplift. He assured that all possible cooperation with Sundas Foundation would continue to help extend quality medical facilities to more deserving patients.
On the occasion, Patron Sundas Foundation Sohail Warraich thanked the Governor for his visit and support, saying that his encouragement would further strengthen the foundation’s welfare mission. Founder and President Muhammad Yasin Khan also expressed gratitude, saying that the Governor’s visit and appreciation were a matter of pride for the organization and would help improve healthcare services with government support.
At the conclusion of the visit, the management of Sundas Foundation presented a commemorative shield to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi in recognition of his services and support for humanitarian causes.
