DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 16 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday visited the residences of police personnel who embraced martyrdom in the recent terrorist attack on the Police Training Centre, Dera Ismail Khan.
During the visits, the governor met with the families of the martyred policemen in far-flung areas, offered Fateha and expressed heartfelt condolences and prayers with the families of the martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that the police martyrs were the pride of the nation and their supreme sacrifices for the protection of the motherland would always be remembered with great respect.
He added that visiting the homes of these brave sons was his moral and national responsibility, as they had laid down their lives in the line of duty for peace and security.
The governor visited the houses of Shaheed Mudassir and Shaheed Ismatullah in Wanda Mudat, Shaheed Daniyal in Wanda Lali, and Shaheed Muhammad Farhan in Shah Khel. He met the bereaved families, relatives, and local residents, expressing solidarity and sharing their grief.
He said that terrorists and their facilitators were enemies of Islam and Pakistan and would ultimately face a humiliating defeat.
“We are proud of our security forces who are rendering great sacrifices to eliminate terrorism and protect the lives of the people, ” he said adding that the government and people will always stand with the families of the martyrs.
The families of the martyrs and local residents appreciated the governor’s gesture of personally visiting their homes in distant areas to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the police personnel.
Pakistan Peoples Party leaders Mubashir Khan Kundi, Syed Ghazanfar Shah, and Jalal Khan also accompanied the governor during the visits.
