PESHAWAR, Jun 03 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, on Tuesday expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of Balochistan and members of the Balochistan Assembly for unanimously approving a resolution to rename Islamabad International Airport as Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
He praised the Balochistan Assembly for joining the Sindh Assembly in passing a unanimous resolution, calling it a “national voice” that the federal government must heed.
He also discussed the matter with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti during a recent meeting, urging support for the resolution.
Lauding the step taken on May 26, Governor Kundi thanked Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Provincial Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar who presented the resolution MPA Ali Madad Jatak, and all members of the Balochistan Assembly for their support.
