KARACHI, Jun 26 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met renowned Shia scholar Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi where the two discussed about promoting religious harmony, inter-sectarian unity, and social tolerance in the province ahead of Muharram.
During the meeting, Governor Kundi emphasized that the sacred month of Muharram carries a message of patience, unity, and sacrifice.
He warned that anti-state and anti-Islamic elements are actively trying to disrupt sectarian harmony and called for a united effort by all religious schools of thought to counter such conspiracies.
The Governor highlighted that the Governor House Peshawar is playing an active role in promoting religious coexistence and interfaith unity.
He further said that scholars from all sects are being included in the consultation process to strengthen communal bonds.
Allama Shahenshah Naqvi praised the Governor’s initiatives, calling them timely and essential for peace and brotherhood in society.
He reiterated that Muharram teaches the values of unity, sacrifice, and steadfastness in upholding Islamic principles even in the most difficult circumstances.
On the occasion, Allama Naqvi hosted a dinner in honor of Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
