Governor KP lauds Overseas Pakistanis’ role in global causes

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday said that the presence of Pakistanis in the British Upper and Lower Houses is a testament to their vibrant political engagement and contribution.
The Governor said this in a meeting with the Chairman of the British Muslim Mayor Council, Chaudhry Liaqat Ali, at the Governor’s House in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Governor Kundi said that overseas Pakistanis’ hearts always beat for their homeland.
The Governor further said that the role of overseas Pakistanis in advancing the Kashmir cause will be remembered in history with golden words.
He also praised their active and generous support during natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes.
Chaudhry Liaqat Ali appreciated Governor Kundi’s continued efforts for the Kashmir issue and extended an invitation for him to visit the United Kingdom, which the Governor graciously accepted.
Meanwhile, Nawab Begum of Junagarh, Nawabzadi Alia Dilawar Khan called on the Governor at the Governor’s House in Islamabad.
They discussed matters of mutual interest, the historical status of Junagarh State, ties with the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership, and regional affairs.
Nawabzadi Alia highlighted the long-standing relationship between Junagarh and Pakistan since independence and called for renewed attention to the Junagarh issue at the United Nations.
Governor Kundi reaffirmed that Junagarh’s decision to join Pakistan reflected its deep historical and ideological bond with the country and assured full support for her requested meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari.
