Governor calls for establishment of NUML University Campus in D.I. Khan

PESHAWAR, Oct 28 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday emphasized the need to establish a regional campus of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Dera Ismail Khan to promote higher education opportunities in the southern districts of the province.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Brigadier (R) Saifur Rehman Malik, Regional Director of NUML University Peshawar Campus, who called on him at the Governor’s House, Peshawar.
During the meeting, both discussed in detail the academic affairs, degree and diploma programs offered at NUML University Peshawar Campus.
The Governor said that setting up a regional campus in D.I. Khan would be a valuable educational initiative not only for the youth of D.I. Khan but also for students from the adjoining districts of Bhakkar and Mianwali in Punjab and Zhob in Balochistan.
Governor Kundi appreciated NUML University’s contributions to the education sector across the country, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and lauded its globally recognized academic and language programs.
He added that his efforts are focused on ensuring that students in remote areas have access to quality higher education institutions near their hometowns, enabling them to contribute effectively to the progress and prosperity of the nation.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Aziz from Islamia College Peshawar called on Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
During the meeting, they discussed the academic landscape, faculty development, and educational challenges in the province. The Governor said that education is the cornerstone of social progress and youth empowerment, adding that a well-educated generation is key to building a more inclusive and forward-looking Pakistan.
Prof. Dr. Aziz appreciated the Governor’s consistent encouragement for educational initiatives and his vision of promoting learning, critical thinking, and equal opportunities for the youth.
