QUETTA, Dec 09 (APP): Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail on Tuesday stressed that the eradication of the menace of corruption is essential for buildin a prosperous society.
Governor Mandokhail issued a message on International Anti-Corruption Day, describing corruption as a menace that obstructs both economic growth and social progress.
The Governor emphasized that corruption is not merely an individual failing but a systemic issue that affects families and entire communities.
He called for collective and conscious efforts by the government, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), and citizens against corruption.
He noted that eliminating corruption at all levels is a fundamental prerequisite for national advancement.
Jaffar Mandokhail reaffirmed Pakistan’s role as a signatory to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). He highlighted NAB’s continued dedication to combating corrupt practices and strengthening accountability across the country.
The Governor stressed that International Anti-Corruption Day is a reminder to renew national resolve in confronting corrupt elements. He urged all stakeholders to work together to uphold justice, restore public trust in state institutions, promote transparency, accountability, and self-responsibility.
Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail expressed confidence that strong anti-corruption measures will not only cleanse society of corrupt practices but also lay the foundation for a prosperous and trustworthy Pakistan.
