SUKKUR, Oct 23 (APP):Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro, a renowned scientist and Founding President of the Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation (ECOSF), has stressed the importance of promoting female role models in scientific research.
Speaking to APP here on Thursday, Dr. Soomro highlighted that the potential of women in science has not been fully tapped, and globally, more needs to be done to establish women in leadership positions.
Recently, Dr. Soomro attended the 18th Pujiang Innovation Forum in Shanghai, China, where he was featured in a cover story in the prestigious Chinese Magazine (International Talent).
During his visit, he emphasized the need for greater representation of women in science, citing the vast potential that remains untapped due to the under representation of women in leadership roles.
Dr. Soomro’s contributions to science and technology have been recognized globally. A recipient of the Chinese Government Friendship Award in 2020, he has played a pivotal role in connecting the scientific community of the ECO region and China. His work has focused on promoting scientific collaboration and education, particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
