DIR LOWER, Jul 30 (APP):The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Malakand, Chakdara on Wednesday officially announced the results of the 2025 annual Matriculation examinations.
In a remarkable outcome, female students outshined their peers in both Arts and Science groups, securing top positions.
In the Arts group, Huma, daughter of Abdul Waheed Khan from Mohsinat Academy, Dir Lower, secured first position with 1094 marks. Sana Saleem, also from Mohsinat Academy, claimed the second position with 1093 marks. Private candidate Nafsa from Bajaur also shared the second position.
In the Science group, Suman Huma from a school in Dargai, Malakand, stood first by securing 1169 marks. Komal Mahboob from PIMS School and College, Dir Lower, followed closely with 1168 marks.
A three-way tie occurred for third place: Ayesha Siddiqah from Dar-e-Arqam School, Thana Malakand; Abdul Rehman from Lal Qila School, and Minahil Mujahid from Smart School and College, all scored 1055 marks.
The result announcement ceremony was held in the presence of several distinguished guests, including Muhammad Naseem Khan, Chairman of the Malakand Board; Professor Dr. Rasheed Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of the University of Malakand; Ghulam Muhammad Jan, Chief Secretary of the Malakand Board; and Muzaffar Syed Advocate, former Provincial Finance Minister.
Addressing the audience, the speakers expressed their joy at the large turnout, stating that such gatherings uplift students’ morale and encourage academic excellence.
They emphasized that while achieving a position is an honor, it should be seen as the beginning of a lifelong journey toward greater success.
Students were urged to continue striving for excellence and to become pride not only for their families but also for the nation.
Special encouragement was offered to those who could not succeed this year, with a message to remain resilient, work harder, and return stronger in the next attempt.
Speakers also praised the University of Malakand, calling it one of the most successful and affordable institutions in the province. They announced that admissions this year will be granted based on first-year marks.
The event was filled with patriotic fervor as attendees chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” with enthusiasm.
At the end of the program, cash prizes were awarded to the top achievers. The first position holder received Rs. 100,000, the second received Rs. 85,000, and the third position holders were awarded Rs. 70,000 each.
