Gianchand Esrani reaffirms minority rights, extends Christmas greetings on Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary

KARACHI, Dec 25 (APP): Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister, Gianchand Esrani, on Thursday in a message on the occasion of Christmas and the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, extending heartfelt greetings to the Christian community and reaffirming the government’s commitment to interfaith harmony.
In his message, Gianchand Esrani said that Quaid-e-Azam’s vision was firmly based on equality and the protection of minorities, adding that Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam’s teachings both promote tolerance, peace, and brotherhood in society.
He extended warm Christmas greetings to the Christian community, saying that the festival conveys a universal message of love, peace, and humanity.
He emphasized that every citizen in Pakistan enjoys religious freedom, which, he said, reflects the true spirit of Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan.
The adviser stated that the Sindh government is taking practical steps to safeguard the rights of minorities and ensure their full participation in social and national life.  He added that all followers of different religions in Sindh are equal citizens and enjoy the same rights and responsibilities.
Gianchand Esrani said that the Pakistan Peoples Party believes in empowering minorities and ensuring their constitutional protection, noting that Quaid-e-Azam had provided clear constitutional guarantees for minorities in the country.
He said the Sindh government is moving forward on the same path envisioned by the founder-of-the-nation. Reiterating Quaid-e-Azam’s message, he said  Quaid-e-Azam reaffirmed the resolve for a peaceful, united, and harmonious Pakistan, a vision that continues to guide the nation today.
