GCWUS organizes seminar on Green Synthesis

SIALKOT, Jun 18 (APP):The Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Thursday organized a one-day seminar on Green Synthesis of Nanoparticles and their Impacts on Selected Insect Pests management in Cropland of Sialkot for Sustainable Agro ecosystem.
The Department of Zoology organized this seminar titled in collaboration with ORIC under the IRG-ORIC 2026 funded project with Ref. No. ORIC/GCWUS/IRG/2025-040, the release of the varsity said.
The session was delivered by Dr Sajida Mushtaq, Principal Investigator of the project “Introduction of Cropland Biodiversity, Cropland Production, GDP percent production and its role in National Economy. Traditional methods of Pest Management, their after effects. For solution introduction of new techniques as ‘Green synthesis of nanoparticles, their characterization and study of their impact on Insect pest and even predators in comparison.
The seminar was attended by Chairperson department of Zoology, faculty members and research students, providing a valuable platform for knowledge dissemination and insightful discussion on emerging research addressing eco-friendly techniques for sustainable agro-ecosystem.
The organizers acknowledged the financial support of ORIC, GCWUS, through the IRG-ORIC research grant.
