ABBOTTABAD, Jan 14 (APP):A 73-year-old man lost his life due to gas suffocation after gas accumulated inside a room of a house near Nariyan Iqbal Plaza, raising serious concerns over repeated fatal incidents linked to gas leakage in the city.
According to Rescue 1122 Abbottabad, the Rescue Control Room received information about the incident and immediately dispatched a medical team to the site. However, Muhammad Ramzan, 73, had already succumbed to gas suffocation by the time the rescuers arrived.
The rescue medical team shifted the body to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital for further legal formalities.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the fourth death caused by gas suffocation in the regi in less than two weeks, prompting calls for greater public awareness and precautionary measures to prevent such tragic incidents.
