Gas leakage explosion nine injured in Hazro village

ATTOCK, Feb 8 (APP): At least nine people were injured when a gas leakage triggered an explosion in Khagwani village of Hazro tehsil, reportedly linked to gas load-shedding around dawn on Sunday.
According to police, the blast caused the collapse of a mud roof of a house, trapping occupants inside.
According to local sources, the explosion occurred suddenly due to gas leakage, resulting in the roof of a room caving in. Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information and carried out relief and safety operations.
All injured persons were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Hazro, where they are receiving medical treatment. Hospital officials said the condition of the injured is stable.
The injured were identified as Qadeer (50), Habib (55), Hamid (10), Rabiaullah (23), Tahoos (45), Abdullah (15), Zabihullah (13), Mohib (13) and Ahsan (17).
Rescue officials remained present at the site to ensure safety measures and prevent any further incident, while investigations into the cause of the gas leakage were underway.
