NATHIAGALI, Oct 29 (APP):The Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) organized a one-day training program for local tourist guides on the directives of Director General Shah Rukh Ali.
The program aimed to enhance the professional capacity of guides and equip them with modern tourism-related skills to ensure better services for visitors.
The training session was conducted by tourism expert Tanveer Qureshi, who provided guidance on professional communication, hospitality, camping, and survival techniques.
The session also featured practical demonstrations by the Rescue 1122 team, which trained participants in first aid, emergency response, and injury management to enable them to effectively deal with emergency situations during tourism activities.
More than 35 local tourist guides participated in the training.
After the successful completion of the program, all participants were registered with the GDA and issued official tour guide cards.
The details of the certified guides will soon be published on the official website of the GDA, allowing tourists to easily access verified and trained guides.
At the conclusion of the event, Director Tourism Tehmas Ayub and Assistant Director Tourism Ahsan Hameed distributed training kits and certificates among the participants.
In recognition of their valuable contribution, trainer Tanveer Qureshi and the Rescue 1122 team were awarded appreciation shields for their outstanding efforts in making the session a success.
