Futuristic approach being adopted to ensure smooth growth in coming years: Rana Mashhood

LAHORE, Feb 09 (APP):Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said on Monday that the incumbent government had developed comprehensive policy framework to ensure the growth of youngsters.
He was addressing the Employment Expo 2026 at Punjab University here.
He said that, unfortunately, an attempt had been made to wage a fifth-generation war in the country, which was aimed at spreading disappointment among youngsters.
He said that after Operation ‘Bunyan-ul-Marsoos’, the world acknowledged Pakistan’s technological strength.
Rana Mashhood stated that international financial institutions had acknowledged that Pakistan’s economy was improving. He said, “We are fortunate as a nation that our brave forces are providing us with a safe environment to grow, and we are proud of the sacrifices of our martyrs.”
He said, “When the enemy fails to weaken society, it resorts to terrorism as a last option.”
The PMYP chairman said that Pakistan was among the few countries that have their own Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy.
He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had signed a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement, which he termed a great honour for Pakistan.
He said that, with the grace of the Allah Almighty, the country was regaining its lost status, adding that Pakistan’s growth indicators were showing positive trends. Rana Mashhood said that it was the resolve of the PML-N government to raise IT exports to $25 billion.
He said that more than 800,000 youngsters had registered on the Prime Minister’s Digital Youth Hub, adding that the initiative provides fully merit-based opportunities to youth while empowering them to grow, explore, and lead their future.
He said that Pakistan’s first National Youth Employment Policy would be launched next month.
He stated, “Today’s Pakistan is providing opportunities to youngsters purely on the basis of merit.”
He added that the country’s National Adolescent and Youth Policy had been finalized and that the policy specifically targets adolescents and youth aged 10 to 29 years.
He further said, “PMYP is also working on an ambitious program which is Vision 2047, under which a futuristic approach was being adopted to ensure smooth growth in the coming years.”
He said that the revival of the Basant Festival had helped create social cohesion, and the credit went to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali also spoke on the occasion.
