PESHAWAR, Nov 24 (APP):The funeral prayers of the three personnel martyred in the Federal Constabulary Headquarters attack were offered with official protocol on Monday.
Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Umar Bukhari, Provincial Minister for Local Government Meena Khan Afridi, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah and Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed attended the ceremony and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
According to hospital and Federal Constabulary sources, the martyred personnel were identified as Havaldar Alamzeb, Constable Riyasat Khan and Constable Altaf Khan. Their sacrifice was praised by senior officials present at the funeral.
The Chief Minister and other officials laid floral wreaths on the coffins of the martyrs and praised their bravery in the line of duty.
The injured were identified as Constable Irfan, Constable Arshad, Lance Naek Zahir and a civilian passerby Amjad.
Hospital authorities confirmed that all injured individuals are out of danger and are receiving appropriate medical care.
Lady Reading Hospital administration has requested relatives of the victims to avoid unnecessary stay in the wards to ensure smooth medical operations and patient care.
