Dera Ismail Khan , Feb 12 (APP):Funeral prayers of the police personnel martyred in a terrorist attack in Wanda Budh, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Shaheed Nawab Khan Panyala, were offered with full official honours at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines.
The martyred officials included Station House Officer (SHO) Shaheed Nawab Khan Police Station, Fahim Mumtaz, and constables Wajahat, Muhammad Tauqeer, Muhammad Irfan and Ghulam Subhani, who embraced martyrdom while performing their duties during the terrorist assault.
A large number of senior civil and military officials attended the funeral prayers, including Commissioner Dera Division Daud Khan, Station Commander Muhammad Abubakar, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Dera Abdul Nasir Khan, District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Sahibzada Sajjad Ahmed, SPs of CTD, City, Saddar, Paharpur and Elite Force, SDPOs, along with relatives of the martyrs and police personnel.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the martyrs. Floral wreaths were laid on the coffins and rich tributes were paid to the fallen officers for their bravery, dedication and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Special prayers were also offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, lasting peace in the country and the complete elimination of terrorism.
