KARACHI, Jun 02 (APP):The funeral prayer of police constable Shehryar Ali, who was martyred in Karachi the other day by unidentified assailants, was held at the Central Police Office (CPO), Karachi on Monday.
A smartly turned-out contingent of Sindh Police presented a guard of honour to the martyred cop.
Constable Shehryar Ali, posted with the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC), embraced martyrdom in the jurisdiction of Yousuf Plaza Police Station following targeted firing by unknown suspects.
The funeral was attended by IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IGP Establishment, Additional IGP Karachi, zonal DIGPs, DIGP – CIA, DIGP – Traffic, district SSPs of Karachi, senior officers, personnel, the martyr’s family members, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon along with other senior officials offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
“We will bring the perpetrators to justice at all costs,” said IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon.
He further assured the family of full support from Sindh Police during this difficult time.
