KOHAT, Jan 30 (APP):Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital on Friday organized a one-day free eye screening camp at Government High School and Government Primary School Lal
Garhi.
The experienced doctors and nursing staff participated in the camp,
which provided free eye examinations to 630 students, the official sources said.
During the camp, the students were provided free eyeglasses and essential
medicines to improve their vision.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about eye health among children and ensure timely treatment so that visual impairments do not hinder their educational journey.
All participating students befitted from the facility.
The medical teams identified 51 students who required further diagnosis
and treatment.
These cases were referred to Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, where they will receive specialized care with modern facilities.
The organizers stated that such welfare camps would continue in the future to provide basic health services at the doorstep of students in underprivileged areas.
The local community, parents, and teachers appreciated the initiative, terming it a vital step toward safeguarding the students’ health and supporting their education.
