SARGODHA, Dec 24 (APP):As many as four people, including three women and a man, were killed, while six others sustained injuries in a road accident near Chak No. 70 NB in the Jhal Chakian area here on Wednesday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, a mini-coaster traveling from Khushab to Sargodha collided with a speeding car coming from the opposite direction and after the collision, the car rammed into a tree, resulting in the on-the-spot deaths of four people. The deceased were identified as Zafar Iqbal (35), a resident of Soon Valley; Humaira (35), wife of Faisal and a resident of Block 31, Sargodha; Sadia (18); and Zahida Parveen (50), both residents of Soon Valley.
The injured were identified as Ramzan (23) of Sargodha, Manahil (33) of Sargodha, Dua Fatima (17), Irfan (18), Muhammad Yousaf, and Muhammad Khan. They were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Upon receiving information, Rescue 1122 teams and police officials reached the scene and transferred the bodies to the hospital to complete necessary legal formalities.
Sargodha Divisional and District Administration officials, including Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzaib Khan Awan and Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Muhammad Wasim, also visited the site and hospitals to review the medical facilities being provided to the injured. They expressed deep grief over the tragic incident.
