DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 28 (APP):Former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, laid the foundation stones for several major police infrastructure projects in Dera Ismail Khan aimed at modernizing the force and improving public safety.
The projects include the Safe City initiative, a Police Facilitation Center, a Command and Control Center, a new Traffic Headquarters, police stations, Police Lines, and the construction of new offices for the District Police Officer and the Regional Police Officer.
Commissioner Dera Division Zafar-ul-Islam Khattak, Regional Police Officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, and other senior officials attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Gandapur said the projects would strengthen police performance and enhance the quality of public services. “Equipping the police with modern facilities and technology is crucial for effective law enforcement and public security,” he said.
He added that the provincial government had already allocated significant funds for modern weapons, bulletproof vehicles, and the construction of advanced police infrastructure across Dera Ismail Khan. These initiatives, he said, would enable the police to perform their duties more efficiently and ensure a safer environment for citizens.
Gandapur reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to developing a well-trained, well-equipped police force capable of delivering justice and maintaining peace in the region.
