RAWALPINDI, Feb 27 (APP): The Rawalpindi Police made foolproof security arrangements for Friday prayers across the district on the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Malik Tariq Mehboob personally supervised the arrangements in the field, while divisional Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers, and Station House Officers ensured the effective implementation of the security plan within their respective jurisdictions.
Police personnel were deployed at all mosques and imambargahs, where field officers checked and briefed the deployed staff. Worshippers were allowed entry only after passing through walkthrough gates and undergoing full body searches.
Elite Force, Dolphin Force and police mobiles patrolled their respective areas, while special pickets were inspected and strict checks of suspicious individuals and vehicles were carried out.
SSP Malik Tariq Mehboob said the Rawalpindi Police were fully committed to the protection of the lives and property of citizens, considering it their top responsibility.
