HARIPUR, Oct 14 (APP):The four-day anti-polio campaign is underway in Haripur under strict security arrangements, similar to other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
More than 1,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed to provide security to the polio teams during the ongoing drive.
According to details, under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Haripur Farhan Khan, comprehensive security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of vaccination teams. Police have established checkpoints at various entry and exit points across the district, while snap checking continues at sensitive locations.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Haripur, Jamil-ur-Rehman, along with SDPOs and SHOs, is personally supervising the overall security plan to ensure smooth operations throughout the campaign.
DPO Farhan Khan directed all officers and personnel to remain vigilant and perform their duties with utmost dedication in light of the current security situation.
He instructed them to personally monitor the movement and safety of polio teams and to strictly follow safety protocols by using bulletproof jackets and helmets.
He emphasized that all officers must remain alert and cautious so the campaign can conclude peacefully and successfully, contributing to Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to eradicate polio once and for all.
