Foolproof Muharram security top priority: SSP Operations

FAISALABAD, Jun 22 (APP):Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Imran Ahmad Malik conducted a late-night security visit to various Imambargahs across the city and directed police officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram and said that negligence in security duties would not be tolerated at any cost.
During visit, the SSP Operations reviewed security arrangements at different locations, inspected routes of mourning processions and religious gatherings. He also examined security checkpoints established to maintain law & order
during the holy month.
Senior police officers accompanied him during the inspection while detailed
briefings were given on deployment plans, surveillance measures and contingency
arrangements designed to safeguard mourners and maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
SSP Operations Imran Ahmad Malik issued instructions to further strengthen
monitoring and surveillance activities, directing police officers and personnel
to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on any suspicious movement or activity.
He stressed that all officials assigned to Muharram security duties must remain
alert at all times and perform their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism.
He said that Faisalabad Police had taken special measures to ensure the maintenance
of peace and public order during Muharram-ul-Haram and was utilizing all available
resources to provide a secure environment for mourners.
He said that protecting the lives and property of Azadars was a top priority and
comprehensive security arrangements would remain in place throughout Muharram.
He warned that any lapse, negligence or dereliction of duty in the security plan
would be dealt with strictly in accordance with departmental rules.
