Food safety crackdown in Chiniot: adulterated milk destroyed, fines imposed

CHINIOT, Nov 8 (APP): Food safety teams have launched a district-wide crackdown, inspecting 114 food businesses, including 44 milk trucks. Led by Deputy Director Operations Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza, the teams issued reform notices and imposed fines of Rs 92,000 for serious law violations, the local correspondent of APP reported this from Chiniot on Saturday.
According to the details, during the inspections, 30 liters of poor-quality milk were destroyed, and prohibited items were found in food. Over 2 kg of expired food and 9 liters of expired cold drinks were recovered from grocery stores and destroyed.
Dr. Raza while exclusively talking to APP, emphasized the importance of food safety, warning businesses to comply with regulations. The crackdown will continue, protecting public health and ensuring a safe food supply, he further added.
