GUJRAT, Oct 21 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday conducted inspections across the district, including Circular Road, Lalamusa, and Kharian, to ensure food safety and hygiene standards at hotels, marriage halls, and bakeries.
During the inspections, various food outlets were fined over Rs70,000 for poor sanitation, use of substandard cooking oil, and improper food storage.
The inspection teams also confiscated and disposed of 7.52 kg of expired and prohibited food items.
A PFA spokesperson said that strict action would continue against those involved in providing substandard food to the public.
