SIALKOT, Jan 17 (APP):Dense fog enveloped Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) and surrounding areas, partially disrupting flight operations and schedules.
According to SIAL spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan, a minimum visibility of 500 metres is required to ensure the safe arrival and departure of flights. However, visibility has dropped to as low as 100 metres due to severe fog conditions.
He said flight operations would resume as per schedule once fog intensity subsides and visibility improves. The airport administration remains in close coordination with all airlines to manage the situation efficiently.
Passengers have been advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates regarding their flight schedules, he added.
