RAWALPINDI, Feb 14 (APP):Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) had inked an Memorandum of understanding( MoU) with The Gallery 21 to promote art and cultural exchanges.
This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and the creative industry, offering students enhanced opportunities to engage with contemporary art and gain professional mentorship.
The signing ceremony in this regard was held in which Vice Chancellor FJWU, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (Pride of Performance, TI) and Dr. Farrukh, founder and Director, The Gallery 21, represented their institutions.
According to the MoU, the bilateral collaboration will focus on organizing joint exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events, providing FJWU students with exposure to diverse artistic expressions and contemporary art trends. The partnership underscores both institutions’ commitment to fostering creativity and enriching the cultural landscape for students and the wider community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza said that the MoU represents an exciting opportunity to integrate art and education.
“FJWU is committed to providing students with meaningful artistic exposure, and our collaboration with The Gallery 21 will serve as a vital bridge between academia and the creative industry”, she said.
Dr. Farrukh on the occasion said that The Gallery 21 was honored to collaborate with FJWU in this initiative.
“We believe that creative dialogue and cultural engagement are essential for shaping the artistic landscape of the future”, he said adding that the joint venture would inspire young minds and create lasting avenues for artistic exploration.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from FJWU’s Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), the Department of Fine Arts, and The Gallery 21.
