RAWALPINDI, Oct 30 (APP):Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AVT Channels (Pvt.) Ltd. to promote media–academia collaboration and professional development.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (Pride of Performance, T.I.), Vice Chancellor FJWU, and Hamid Raja, CEO Khyber Digital & Executive Director Khyber Network. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Head of the Department of Communication and Media Studies, and Bilal Nasr, General Manager Khyber Digital, signed as focal persons for the partnership.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza emphasized the importance of strong industry–academia linkages in nurturing professional excellence and innovation. She highlighted that such collaborations bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering students with real-world exposure and skill-based learning.
Hamid Raja termed the collaboration a win-win model for both media and academia, fostering creativity and providing platforms for young talent to thrive.
Dr. Muhammad Ali shared that the partnership aligns with the department’s vision of developing skill-based graduates equipped with contemporary media knowledge and practical expertise.
This MoU marks a significant step towards fostering experiential learning, research collaboration, and media innovation through joint initiatives between FJWU’s Department of Communication and Media Studies and AVT Channels.
