Five WAPDA employees recovered safely after 55 days in captivity in Bannu

PESHAWAR, Nov 07 (APP):Five employees of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), who were abducted from the Peer Dil Khel area of district Bannu, have been safely recovered after 55 days in captivity.
The WAPDA team was carrying out electricity repair work when unknown armed assailants attacked and kidnapped five personnel, including the driver.
The recovered employees were identified as Adnan (driver), Naqeeb ur Rehman, Farhad, Abdul Wahab, and Javedullah.
The abductors had reportedly demanded a ransom of Rs. 50 million for their release. After continuous efforts by the local administration and security forces, all abducted workers were safely rescued and have now returned home, said the district police spokesman.
